Just read your note to self... Happy New You, Happy New Year. keep in mind, how beautiful a broken voice can sound. id think of it like a distortion or overdrive guitar pedal or razor cut amp speaker. a whole new dimension to play with. like janis joplin...you can feel it. like Johnny Cash's Hurt..negative, but you can feel it. you can feel a broken voice. to the heart. you have another great spiritual imprint on its way. 2019 is gonna be magical year!
Also got to say: Just the Album title Watermark is pure genius. Sound of Silence. Watermark. Bridge over troubled waters. im just discovering Art :D this is a new beginning to me.
eternal love and blessings to Art! The song "Sound of silence" came to me at a magical moment in the middle of writing and producing a new song. spoke to me, had an instant influence, and led me to bridge of troubled waters which also had an instant influence. at the same time, Gurdjieff comes to me through a mention in a Terence Mckenna lecture. simultaneously, i discover Arts book list(Genius idea for an artist/mind of his caliber) and i see he shared the same interest, which is helping me through a freezing flooding transformation that came on before gurdjieff, through the music directly...that brought me to a complete standstill philosophically, psychologically, and musically. reading ouspenskys fourth path and Arts book at the same time, has cleared up alot of noise and thawing me out as a frozen stuck artist. its just a dart in the dark posting this, but it would be amazing just letting him know, some more evidence on the possibly inconceivable-level influence that him and his music is having and can happen on people and the world. love to all who reads this, as Art has brought us together. :)
My dear Art, I wish you and your family a happy new year ☻ hope you´re fine. These days I go through hard times, I fear my cat must die and before I go to sleep, I listen to the song "Lasso the Moon" and taht helps me a little bit. Thank you for the Music, keep on singing, I hope I´ll see you this year.
Best wishes, your´s Nina ♥ :-* ☻
Just watched Catch-22.
It was darkly humorous, surreal, insane, sad -- and, of course, very much a warning.
The term "war crimes" is strange to me: all war is crime.
We would all do well to take a look at our world and think.
As a student, I am inclined towards pessimism, and I am maybe too jaded for my own good (and age). This world of ours is a big goddamn mess right now, but then again, it always seems to be.
Does it get better with age? Is it always so overwhelming, so chaotic, or am I unlucky enough to be growing up in such a strange and terrifying time?
Is it just my youthful ignorance that I even complain about pain? -- after all, there's no draft right now. There's no Vietnam, no Jim Crow (although we've got something pretty damn reminiscent of it)...
Ah, the lovely feeling of powerlessness.
so it goes.
At least the ice caps aren't gone,
I would like to give my condolences on the loss of the beloved Penny Marshall. I know she was your girl for a long time, and I know you are feeling her loss. What a lovely lady she was.
